**Why I joined M13:** M13's perspective that community and network are core to helping grow successful companies resonates with my point of view and life experience. As M13’s Director, Network & Community, I believe in connecting the right people at the right time and hearing about them making magic together.

<br>**A transformative moment in my career:** After graduate school, in post-Katrina New Orleans, I ran a community and economic development organization that convened five neighborhoods of vastly different socio-economic background and perspectives to improve an important commercial street in the city's Upper Ninth Ward. By being at the center of contentious conversations and liaising with New Orleans cultural icons; city, state, and federal officials; and local business owners, I gained great respect for people who fight daily to preserve and grow the fundamental elements of the richness of life and living.
