M13 is growing significantly, and we're preparing for an exciting new year by bringing our next senior investor into the family. We've made significant investments in early-stage consumer technology—specifically in the future of work, wellness, commerce, money, and with a cultural focus on how Web 3.0 is powering these sectors.
With this growth comes an opportunity to bring fresh ideas and perspectives to the table as we look to add even more diverse experience and firepower to our core investing team, currently based in LA and NY. Our “operator-first” Propulsion model of support has proven to add measurable value to the founders in our portfolio, and we’ve always believed that our focus on talent has been a differentiating factor for us. We intend to approach this search differently to make sure we’re looking as broadly and deeply as possible to find the best talent.
To that end, we’re eschewing the traditional job description and looking to create a role to match the right person. There’s no predetermined background, level, or experience set for this role. We want to meet someone game-changing, and we’ll build the opportunity around their strengths.
We know what we are good at; the ideal candidate will complement our experience but most importantly bring their own unique skill set to the table. With that said, this is an investing role and we’re interested in talking with candidates who:
Are based in the Bay Area and have deep founder and venture networks particularly in Silicon Valley
Have a strong track record of sourcing and leading seed and Series A deals
Are excited about our core investment thesis areas but able to expand on them additively
Get energized by working collaboratively with the amazing humans across the entire M13 ecosystem
